Yep, here’s another one.  Instead of posting 423432 links, here’s the first one, and you can just follow the responses from there.  Notice how this wouldn’t quite spoil how the draft goes unless you keep reading this…

    . (SPOILER, LIKE YOU CARE)

    .

    .

I cut off some of the deckbuilding because I spent like 7 minutes deciding how to finalize it, but eventually I went with Kaleidostone > Esper Sojouners or Etherium Abomination.  The deck had like 18 creatures already, tons of 3 drops, like 4 two-drops, and some outside uses for the stone such as random fixing help and cycling Resounding Thunder (which actually happens).

After rewatching match 3 game 3,  I should have  just flashed in Shieldmage after he plays Esper Stormblade, then swung with both for the 2 needed damage.

The footage was taking a long time to save between captures, so I tried a different type of compression for the Top 8.  Bad move, it screwed up so I got nothing.  Synopsis: I lost the first match in 3 games.  Here’s a screenshot.  I’ll let you fill in the blanks from there. (Weird thing about the  top 8 draft, there were at least 12 packs with foils in them.  That’s out of 24 total, and those are just the ones I saw.  Crazy.)

Also, it is reeeally hard to talk to yourself for the entire thing.  Oh well, it’s good for me. There’s a reason I made a seperate youtube account though. No real-life friends needed to see this.

p2p6 picking resounding thunder was waaaay too greedy.
I would have picked the Soul Manipulation. i know how painful it can be to see really good cards late, but one needs to have restraint :)

I wouldve picked Thunder- Its too good to not to.

The fact I had no removal up to that point sort of put it over the top. I also had a black/red borderpost anyway.

Maybe I just like my fixing more than you, but…
Esper BMage is good but not as good as he used to be. If you take the spire there’s a strong chance you wheel one of the artifact dudes. Since white is a splash, duelist won’t be stopping dudes in the early game, which is what you want out of her. I’d take the panorama.

Soul Manipulation is removal and a 2 for 1. It’s a fine pick there, and maybe taking it will help keep UB open pack 3. In your deck, thunder should just be an expensive lightning bolt in a format with a lot of fat bodies.

I think you undervalue Shield of the Righteous. It can really help push through damage (think cormorants vs ember weaver) while holding back their attacks. And speaking of the weaver, I’d have taken that over the brute.

I’d have picked Soul Manipulation over Thunder, but it’s close.

BUT I would definitely have taken Esper Panorama over Deft Duelist (2-drop in what appears to be a splash color at this point is not too hot).

(I haven’t watched the entire draft yet, in the process of doing it now)

I agree with Sene’s comment. Good job with the videos. I appreciated the lack of spoiling. Also, good job taking the initiative and beating down in the last game of the second match. I would have played a slower game, not realizing I could take advantage of the curving draw and overwhelming the opponent.
