Not sure if you guys realized but there is a week of "release events" around the corner for these new Alara Block booster packs. I know some people (like myself) prefer to play events when there is a release event on because of the better payout so this is just a heads up.

They appear to be from the 20th (go on sale on the 18th).

The showdown on the 9th, which you can qualify for until the 6th ( this Wednesday) will payout these new types of packs, so try to qualify if you have not already. Note that drafts will take ACR and payout Alara Block packs (Ala?) from the 6th.

Silly question - I assume that I will need provide the new block packs to participate in the Farewell on the 9th, correct?

Not 100% sure I want to spend 24 tix to play sealed (which I've never really done). It can't be worst than my impulse MED2 attempts since I actually know all the cards.

well that's exciting, i originally thought that you had to qualify through Daily Events only. Sweet free product for me !!

Should be interesting. One would think that you would end up with more SOA cards than Conflux or Reborn.

ACR will be selling for rock bottom prices from tomorrow. The draft queues will no longer pay out ACR, only block packs. Basically only the existing product will be usable and it will be useless after the release so people who aren't drafting them will just want to be rid of them.
