Round 1 (W 2-0 vs. Esper)
G1: Branching Bolt takes down Sludge Strider and Tidehollow Strix...Stinger cleans up the leftovers. Team Thoctar (Woolly and Cavern) beat down for the win with backup from Nacatl and Dragon Fodder...fatestitcher slows me down, but not enough.

G2: I side in Naturalize and use it to blow up his Borderpost on t2. He never sees another blue source til t6 when I have the kill on the board with 3 pieces of removal in hand.

Round 2 (W 2-0 vs. 5 color)
G1: I curve out with Outlander, Stinger, Brute, Gargantuan. He gets stuck on 2 land and only shows me Darklit Gargoyle.

G2: We both have slow starts but I have t4 Rhox Brute, t5 Feral Hydra for 4, t6 Cavern Thoctar. I use Naya Charm to tap down his team and swing for the win on turn 7.

Finals (W 2-0 vs. 5 color)
G1: We trade early drops before I get down t4 Rhox Brute and t6 Broodmate Dragon. Once again Naya Charm lets me swing in for exact lethal.

G2: We reach stalemate after trading early drops and both using a few removal spells. In topdeck mode with the board empty, I draw into Broodmate and it gets there. This deck was sick...3-0 (6-0).

p1p7 i'd take the gleam to leave myself open to naya
p1p10 would probably take the kaleidostone, 2 mana cyclers are never that bad

Everyone keeps talking about the auto refund by playing soul's fire, but I am pretty sure they will watch the game replay and make sure that by not being able to target the opponent you weren't able to win the game. So I wouldn't take the card just as an insurance policy.

The real restraint on the refund is you can only do it once. Usually they wont check the replays because they know it is bugged. However, you cant keep taking it and assume you will be refunded if you were already refunded for it.

That being said, soul's fire is still an awesome card. It's good removal. I am not going to take it over cards like broodmate dragon, but it can be decent removal plus a possible insurance policy.

It's still a good card no question... I am just saying not to take it solely as an insurance policy. And believe me they have checked replays before, they know it's bugged so you may be fine, but it's not as auto refund as people think.

Yeah...I took it cuz it's removal...and I wouldn't ask for the refund unless it actually cost me a game. I wasn't being very serious with that comment.
